humpday is upon is. and i'm in such a fantastic mood because spring has finally shown her face around here! let's get to it, shall we?
....thanks to all of you for your wonderful support of my debbie-downer post yesterday. that hit me pretty hard because kayla is not far from that age and it would kill me if she started that young. let kids be kids; they don't need to be worrying about that shit so early.
....i work as an IT consultant. this means i'm part of the team but not part of the team if that makes sense; as in i work on the team but i don't have to adhere much to company policy, attend boring town halls or shit like that because i'm not full time. in other words, it's awesome but the other side that sucks: when there are team lunches or gatherings, we're not invited because of the non-full time status. a team lunch happened last week at jack astors and everyone was invited except the consultants. so i photoshopped this and sent it to my husband and director:
....i finally hit the trails on the weekend! actually, it was more of a test run and it was still covered in snow and ice, boo. we hiked anyway and made it up some really icy slopes. unfortunately, we couldn't finish the hike because it was so slippery and i didn't feel like breaking any bones or plummeting to sure death so we turned around.
....spring cleaning includes blog spring cleaning. drop kicked about 5 or 6 blogs from my feedly and it felt good. see ya!
....speaking of blogs, i've been feeling blogging blahs...as in i don't feel like reading blogs and writing posts is getting tiresome. is it time for another blogging break?
....went out to dinner with the family last weekend. i follow the 90/10 rule (90% clean eating, 10% whatever) and i ate the shit out of that 10%. also drank a mojito and totally got buzzed. if getting drunk while out with the family at a nice dinner is wrong, then i don't want to be right. not even sorry, either.
....i managed to pilfer an iMac from a dude who left and by that, i mean demand that my husband give it to me since it was his guy who left. and i'm his wife so he needs to do what i say. macs aren't supported at work for some dumb reason but i'm going to use it anyway because i like to live dangerously. also, i needed to get an admin profile set up for me but a coworker couldn't remember the password...so i made him work the whole morning to try and find it because duh, that's obviously more important than actual work. priorities, bitches.
when you're a geek, your desk looks like this.
....i've been a bad blogger; i've been letting my email get out of control which means that i haven't had a chance to reply to your comments. then i got overwhelmed so i just read them all, not reply and delete...starting fresh as of next week. that's ok, right?
now it's your turn!
